A Twin Baby Shower for Hudson and Harper!

In the previous post, we shared the custom invitations we created for Tasha's baby shower and now we are sharing pictures from the party! A twin boy and girl, named Hudson and Harper, are due in just a few short weeks and we created a fun dessert and tea bar to celebrate with Tasha and some close friends and family.

We used the pattern and theme that we designed for the invitations as small touches throughout the event and incorporated the twins initials whenever possible. Burlap detail is so perfect for summer and created a chic, yet relaxed look for the main dessert table. The idea was to put together some small finger desserts that would allow for lots of sampling without filling up too fast. Some of the desserts we incorporated were: homemade banana cream pies, blueberry scones, mint and chocolate cookies, lemon bars, sugar cookie dessert cups, cake pops, yogurt parfaits and fresh fruit. For the tea bar, we featured three different kinds of cold teas including: pomegranate green tea, Arnold Palmer and a peach tea.

The table decor featured one of my favorite details: edible potted plants! The flowers were real, but we put them in small straws so they wouldn't touch the cake. The "soil" of the flowers was devil's food cake with a layer of chocolate frosting and the "leaves" were also frosting. A fun place setting and party favor!

It was truly a special day to celebrate these precious twins that are about to arrive and just looking at these pictures makes us hungry again. Enjoy!

Getting ready to celebrate Hudson and Harper!

Don't let them potted plants fool you...the flower is real but the "soil" is cake and the leaves are frosting! Everything was edible.

Isn't she the cutest? Only weeks away from giving birth to twins and sporting that tiny belly!

My beautiful mom, sisters and I. How fun that my sister and I get to be pregnant at the same time!
