We created the theme to be like a kids VIP picnic. All of the food (including the birthday cake!) was packaged so it could be easily put into a picnic basket. Each kid had their own blanket and basket with a little personalized sign that they could take with them as party favors. To keep with the fire truck theme, we hired a retired fire truck with two fire fighters to give kids rides around the neighborhood and had blow up Dalmatian dogs throughout.
Since Tyler already has so much, in lieu of gifts, we asked that our guests consider making a donation to CHOC, our local children's hospital. We had a great turnout and it was such a memorable day!
A special thanks to Rich Lander from Chard Photography who captured every moment perfectly!
All of the toys that we were able to donate in addition to a few hundred dollars in gift cards! |

Dear Frakes,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the invite to Tyler's first birthday party! It was definitely full of firsts like my first time riding a firetruck and enjoying a sober Saturday at the park. Can't wait for the good times to start rolling in.

ReplyDeleteHi Ria, thank you for your sweet comment! The dispenser is actually from the container store.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute party! I love all of the details. Can you please tell me where you found those adorable water bottles with the curly straws? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi MsKris,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your sweet comment! The spiral water bottles are from Party City online at http://www.partycity.com/product/red+spiral+cup.do?sortby=ourPicks&size=all&from=Search&navSet=crazy+straw
Awesome! Thanks a bunch!
ReplyDeleteThis party is one of my favorites. I bought those same sippy cups and i saw that you added a label to each one. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteHow did you make the labels? My hole puncher does not center the hole in th label. Thank you for sharing this party
Hi Christine,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your note! I actually used a mini hole punch and made several punches in the middle to make a larger circle :)
Ah, smart. Thank you so much.
ReplyDeleteI love the firetruck invitation! Is that something I could buy from you? My son wants a firetruck party this year and these invites are the best!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautiful party! The details are spectacular and everything feels so cohesive - such fun! Would you mind sharing where that cute "caution" ribbon is from? I've searched for it but to no avail!
ReplyDeleteHi Melanie,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your sweet comments! I actually had the ribbon custom made. You can find it here: http://www.namemaker.com/productcart/pc/Personalized-Ribbon-3-8-Satin-36-Colors-227p132.htm
I ordered it in yellow with the post-cap only font.
Enjoy!
